Dear Annie,
On December 4th you and your kids came to our Chirstmas party and provided entertainment for us and our World War II Submarine Veterans that we were honoring as part of our get together. As you know the following Wednesday the 7th was the 75th anniversarry of the bombing of Pear Harbor and the reason for bringing in these amazing members of our group.
The gentlemen were not told in advance that they were to be the guests of honor so it came as a complete surprise to them and the family menbers/friends who brought them. Your kids did an amazing performance and I noted that most of these men had tears in their eyes during the performance. Most of them are well in years and are unable to easily travel and were so very blessed by your kids.
You and your kids have now done a couple of shows for our group and have done an amazing job at providing great entertainment. Please convey our deepest gratitude to your kids for the kindness they showed to these gentlemen after the show. As I spoke to a number of them and they were very happy and really enjoyed the performance. All of the men and families of our base who have seen your shows have made many comments about the quality of the singing and dancing.
It is very obvious that they spend many hours in practicing and in time to travel to do the shows. Please let them know that we greatly appreciated the perfomance once again and also thank your wonderful staff who helped put on the shows. Your group has done an incredible job once again and we, the officer’s and men of the Requin base of USSVI wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for a job well done.
